Mitsui O.S.K. Lines said that the naming ceremony for a newbuilding LNG carrier for Osaka Gas was held at the Nagasaki Shipyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
LNG Mars was ordered by MOL and Osaka Gas International Transport, an Osaka Gas unit, and built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, MOL said in a statement.
The 155,000 cbm vessel will serve a wide variety of projects including the giant Gorgon LNG project in Australia.
The vessel has an overall length of 288m, a breadth of 48.94m and a draught of 11.55m.
