CCCC Guangzhou Dredging has won the bid for the Phase 2 of the channel dredging project in Tieshan zone, Beihai Port, Guangxi.
The contract, worth approx $117.8 million, includes total dredging volume of 24 million cubic meters and a construction period of 9 months.
With a full length of some 18.7 kilometers and designed effective width of 190-330 meters, the project involves temporary cofferdam works in the reclamation zone, dredging and reclamation works in the temporary silt storage pit, channel dredging, navigation aid works, etc.
After its completion, the project will better meet the needs of the rapid growth of the cargo handling capacity of Beihai’s coastal ports, enhancing their competitiveness.
