South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has recently delivered Ocean BlackLion ultra-deepwater drillship to Diamond Offshore Drilling.
According to HHI, the drillship Ocean BlackLion is the 2000th ship HHI completed.
Diamond Offshore has earlier signed drilling contracts for employment of the company’s drillships Ocean BlackRhino and Ocean BlackLion with Hess Corporation. Drillship Ocean BlackLion is expected to start working in fourth quarter of 2015 in Gulf of Mexico on a four-year deal.
