Survitec Group was yesterday awarded the ‘Safety Innovations Award’ at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Offshore Achievements Award Ceremony in Aberdeen, UK.

The Offshore Achievement Awards are given to the companies in the UK offshore industry, in categories which include safety innovations, new technologies, collaborative working and individual achievement.

Survitec Group entered the new MK50 Life Preserver with integrated Emergency Breathing System (EBS) along with the Offshore Mass Evacuation System as its two safety innovations.

The Safety Innovations category was judged recognising excellence in innovative technology, in particular products that have been developed in the UK which contribute to offshore safety. Survitec says that the panel in addition wished to see demonstrated a clear strategy for deployment, further deployment or further development of the technology or system.

Greg Allanach , Managing Director – European Services at Survitec Group said: “This is a fantastic achievement and I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to everyone involved in both projects.”
