Anchors for BlueTec tidal platform are being towed into position on May 28, 2015, ahead of the planned installation of the floating tidal platform.

The platform will serve as a demonstration targeted at remote locations, and will be deployed off Texel island, after which it will be connected to the Dutch grid.

Beginning of May, it was reported that the floating platform hit the water , and the bow section was mounted at the Port of Den Helder.

The BlueTec Texel tidal project represents a collaboration of Bluewater, Damen/Niron Staal, Van Oord/Acta Marine, NIOZ, Nylacast, Schottel Hydro, Tidal Testing Centre, TKF, Tocardo and Vryhof Anchors.
