LLOG hits pay at Crown & Anchor prospect in Gulf of Mexico

LLOG Exploration (LLOG) has drilled an exploration test at the Viosca Knoll 959 “Crown & Anchor” prospect in the Gulf of Mexico.

According to LLOG, the initial exploratory well encountered greater than 50 feet of net oil bearing sand in a high-quality Miocene reservoir.

LLOG is the operator with 60% working interest in the discovery and its partners are Ridgewood Energy and Stone Energy Corporation.

LLOG says it is evaluating regional hosts regarding subsea development options for the project.
