Following the first LNG carrier reload operation at its LNG terminal in the port of Bilbao, Spain’s Bahía de Bizkaia Gas (BBG) is scheduled to perform more reloads.

“BBG has two more re-loading operations scheduled in July,” the company told LNG World News in an e-mailed statement.

The company performed the first reloading operation on May 25, involving the Excelerate Energy’s 138,000 cbm LNG carrier Excellence, with final destination in Cyprus.

From May 29 to May 31, BBG reloaded the 151,945 cbm LNG carrier British Sapphire that was sent on its way to the final destination in Argentina.

The reload operations started after Bahía de Bizkaia Gas completed a two-year process of rearranging the existing facilities at the Bilbao LNG terminal and adding the third storage tank with a capacity of 150,000 cbm.
