Keel-laying for Vroon’s AHTS VOS Challenge

Vroon, a Dutch shipping company, announced that last Saturday, June 6, 2015, the keel-laying ceremony for VOS Challenge has taken place at Fujian Southeast Shipyard (FSES) in Fuzhou, China.

According to the company, ‘VOS Challenge’ is a 65m anchor-handling tug support vessel and the first in a series of six such vessels being built at this shipyard for Vroon.

The company says that it has ordered 22 offshore-support vessels at Fujian Shipbuilding, with delivery between 2014 and 2016.

VOS Challenge is scheduled for delivery in 2016 and will operate in SouthEast Asia.
