Dahej set for Qatari LNG cargo

India’s largest LNG terminal located at Dahej in Gujarat is expected to receive a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar this week.

India’s largest LNG terminal located at Dahej in Gujarat is expected to receive a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar this week.

The LNG is being carried onboard the 138,700 cbm Raahi LNG tanker which is due to dock at the Dahej terminal on June 13, shipping data reveals.

Petronet LNG, the operator of the import terminal, is currently undergoing expansion works to boost the terminal’s capacity to 15 Mtpa.

The construction works are expected to be complete by November in 2016.

The company has also recently approved a further expansion of the LNG terminal in Gujarat to 17.5 million tonne per annum.
