Mexican oil company Pemex has made four significant oil discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico.
This was revealed by the CEO of the Mexican oil company, Emilio Lozoya, at an oil conference in Guadalajara.
He said that these discoveries were the biggest for Pemex in the last five years after Tsimin-Xux and Ayatsil finds.
Lozoya said that the fields could be put in production within 16 months. Once production from the fields is in full swing, they could produce 200.000 barrels of oil per day.
The discoveries, made offshore the State of Tabasco, are also expected to produce 170 million cubic feet of gas per day.
