The 138,000 cbm Iberica Knutsen recently docked at the Gate LNG terminal’s jetty in Rotterdam.

The 138,000 cbm Iberica Knutsen recently docked at the Gate LNG terminal’s jetty in Rotterdam.

The vessel was built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering of Korea in 2006 and delivered to its owner, Haugesund-based Knutsen OAS Shipping.

The vessel is 277 meters long and close to 44 meters wide with a sailing speed of 19.5 knots. The vessel was classed by DNV.

Gate terminal received 372,000 tonnes of LNG in the January-March period, a 186.8 percent rise compared with the same period last year.

Overall, LNG throughput (incoming and outgoing) at the terminal was 517,000 tonnes in the period, a rise of 138 percent compared to 2014.
