The ASV Pioneer , an accommodation barge managed by Dalby Offshore, is assisting in cable works on the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm for the summer and is supported by a spread of two tugs and a number of specialist personnel.

The vessel mobilised from the UK in February and is expected to remain in the Baltic area until later in the year.

Stuart McNiven of Dalby said: “The Pioneer is again proving to be a very stable, multi-functional platform for these types of operations and we are looking to similar opportunities as the Offshore Renewable arena starts the expected ramp up in 2016 and beyond.”
