J2 Subsea, an Acteon company, has opened a new subsea tooling facility at another Acteon company, Seatronics’, subsea electronics location in Houston.

With this new facility, J2 Subsea now offers North American customers a comprehensive suite of subsea equipment for diver and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) applications.

The company says that the new facility includes a workshop for tool preparation, servicing and support. It will provide torque tools, analysers, cutters, manipulators, intensifier panels, grinders, dirty work packs, jetters and more.

John Walker , director, J2 Subsea, said: “J2 Subsea has a strong reputation in the subsea marketplace for offering top quality service and fast response times. We already operate from other Seatronics facilities, and the new Houston location supports our ultimate aim of offering everything on the ROV globally.

“Our goal is to give customers support wherever they need it, and establishing this facility in Houston is in direct response to customer demands.”
