Millennium Stimulation Services has been awarded two patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the use of Energized Natural Gas to perform well fracturing operations.
One patent relates to Millennium’s foundation application and addresses the system and method of applying natural gas as LNG to fracturing fluid mixtures. The other successful patent grant addresses the methodology for creating natural gas fracturing fluids in order to gain the desired behaviors for well fracturing application.
The patents for the same and additional applications were awarded to the company by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office in February 2015, MSS said in a statement.
ENG is a well completion technology which blends natural gas with conventional frac fluids and frac sands into an oil and gas wellbore to fracture a producing formation.
