Panama-flagged bulk carrier Filia Grace has been reported to be adrift in the Indian Ocean following an engine failure.

The ship’s crew is trying to repair the engine that broke down on June 15th.

The drifting bulker, owned and managed by the Greek company Pitiousa Shipping, was spotted adrift by nearby vessels some 160 nautial miles south of Port Maturin, Mauritius, Maritime Bulletin Daily reports.

As informed, there were no significant damages to the 26,412 DWT vessel and all crew are reported to be safe.

The ship, built in 1997, is believed to be carrying 14,000 tons of rice to Bata, Equatorial Guinea.
