Alexey Miller, Gazprom’s head and Miguel Galuccio , Chief Executive Officer of Argentine National Petroleum Company YPF discussed on Friday issues and prospects for enhancing the cooperation in the energy sector.

The emphasis was placed on the joint actions in hydrocarbons exploration and production in Argentina and third countries within the memorandum of cooperation signed earlier this year, Gazprom said in a statement.

Besides, the meeting, which was held in St. Petersburg, touched upon the cooperation in the NGV area as well as supplies of LNG from Gazprom’s portfolio to Argentina.

In 2013, Gazprom won a tender for the supply of 15 LNG cargoes with a total volume of one million tons to Argentina between 2014 and 2015.
