Norway’s GC Rieber Shipping has secured a one month option of extension from DOF Subsea for its ROV survey/construction vessel Polar King.
According to the Oslo-listed company, the extension is effective from the second half of July.
The vessel, which was delivered in 2011 from Freire Shipyard in Spain, is on a 100-day firm contract with DOF Subsea, which started in March this year.
Under the contract, announced in March, DOF Subsea had options to extend the charter for Polar King by up to 5 months.
Furthermore, GC Rieber has informed that remainder options for up to 4 months extension may be declared at a later stage.
