Representatives of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern business community and Port of Sassnitz from Germany visited the Port of Bronka yesterday, Port News announced.

This visit to the Multipurpose Sea Cargo Complex Bronka was arranged within the framework of the Days of German Economy in the Leningrad Region, held on June 24-25, 2015.

The delegation also included the representatives of the Rostock Chamber of Industry and Commerce, stevedoring and shipping companies.

Harm Sievers, Managing Director of Port of Sassnitz , highly praised the prospects of MSCC Bronka. Among the advantages of port Bronka he marked its unique depth (-14.4 m), lots of space opportunities , state-of-the-art equipment and well developed infrastructure.

“ Convenient location of the port will let vessels save four to six hours as compared with their way to Saint-Petersburg, ” said Sievers.

Implementation of the Bronka project is expected to generate 2,300 jobs at its marine terminals alone.

The launch of MSCC Bronka operations is scheduled for September 2015.
