Indian Oil Corporation has reportedly purchased one spot liquefied natural gas cargo for delivery in mid-July from trading house Vitol.
The state-owned company awarded a single cargo tender to Vitol for a 3.1 trillion British thermal units cargo to be delivered to Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal in Gujarat.
The delivered price was just above $7 per million British thermal units, according to a report by Reuters.
This is the second spot LNG cargo procured directly by Indian Oil. Previously it bought a cargo of the chilled gas from Excelerate Energy, the report said.
