Cryoshelter said that the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 program has recognized its new LNG tank technology by awarding a €1.7 million grant to complete the required testing for full certification and commercialization.

This second generation tank technology for heavy duty trucks has been developed with the single focus on lowering the tank-related total cost of ownership, the company said in a statement.

The European LNG truck manufacturers will be the primary focus of Cryoshelter’s marketing efforts. Cryoshelter will work with the manufacturers to position itself as a Tier 1-quality supplier of its new alternative in LNG storage systems.

The Cryoshelter tank, available in over 1000 sizes due to its modular design allows customers to choose the tank length to fit the chassis space rather than have the tank dimensions dictate the chassis space required.
