Boskalis in partnership with VolkerWessels has been awarded a contract by Veja Mate Offshore Project for the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm foundations in the German section of the North Sea.
Under the contract, Boskalis will execute the design, procurement, fabrication, supply, transportation, installation and testing of sixty seven foundations.
The contract carries a value of approximately EUR 500 million, in which Boskalis has a 50 per cent share.
The Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm is located 130 kilometers north of Eemshaven and will generate a total capacity of 400 MW.
The project will begin at the end of 2015 and completion of the project is expected in the fourth quarter of 2016.
