SeaBird Exploration Plc has announced receiving all the necessary permits to start with the Gigante survey for TGS Nopec.
After TGS in May announced it was granted a permit to acquire 181,500 km regional 2D seismic in Mexico, SeaBird said the same day it was expecting instructions to begin operations for the survey with four vessels in the project.
The company has Tuesday informed that the vessels Osprey Explorer, built in 1985, and Hawk Explorer, built in 1984, have started the seismic acquisition campaign.
It added that its Northern Explorer is currently mobilizing to Mexico. The vessel’s AIS data shows it is currently located in the Bahamas.
