Array and export cables have been installed at 49.5MW Kentish Flats Extension offshore wind farm.

Following the completion of the work, Nostag was demobilised and has left the site.

Meanwhile, “our vessels are gathering components for the next stage of the project,” said Vattenfall spokesperson.

Neptune has returned to Esbjerg in Denmark to collect three sets of turbine components while BoDo Installer is in Great Yarmouth picking up concrete mattresses to be used as cable protection for cable crossings. Both vessels are expected back on site this Friday.

Back onshore, jointing is being carried out in the car park at Hampton – the final push in preparation for the final turbine installation in a few weeks’ time.

“Planning and scheduling has been spot on so far and we expect this to continue to the end of the project,” the spokesperson added.
