Saipem SA has chartered the CSV Far Samson for a duration of 9 months to support its campaign in Brazil.
The Far Samson is an offshore construction vessel built in 2009 by Vard Langsten, yard No. 704.
The 121.5-meter DP Class III vessel is designed for offshore and deepwater tasks, including pipeline trenching, subsea construction, towing, ROV inspection and survey operations, pile driving, cable and flexible installation, supply service and pre-commissioning works.
According to Oslo-listed Farstad Shipping, the contract is scheduled to start during the third quarter of 2015.
In addition to this award, Saipem has contracted the Far Samson for 1 year from October 2016, with additional two options to extend the charter for 1 year.
