Carnegie Wave Energy has been selected as a finalist for the Clean Energy Council’s (CEC) Industry Awards.
The Australian wave energy developer has been selected as finalist in the Innovation Award category by the CEC, for its achievements in the wave energy industry, with a particular accent on its Perth Wave Energy Project that was connected to Australian electricity grid earlier this year.
Clean Energy Council Chief Executive Kane Thornton said:
“The Clean Energy Council Industry Awards identify businesses that have embraced the immense potential of clean energy, and who have impressed the judges with either their world-class innovation or their best-in-class engagement with the community.”
The winners of the awards will be announced during the Australian Clean Energy Summit which will be held on July 15-16, 2015, at the Hilton Sydney.
Hosted by the Clean Energy Council, the summit will brief delegates on the latest political, financial, business and technology developments impacting the renewable energy sector, according to CEC.
Clean Energy Council is an industry association made up of more than 550 member companies operating in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency. CEC members are involved in the development or deployment of clean energy technologies such as bioenergy, cogeneration, energy efficiency, geothermal, hydro, solar, solar hot water, marine energy and wind.
