IEA Wind Proposes New Task

International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Wind unit issued a proposal for a new task called “Wind Energy Systems Engineering: Integrated RD&D” in May, which was approved by the IEA Wind Executive Committee. International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Wind unit issued a proposal for a new task called “Wind Energy Systems Engineering: Integrated RD&D” in May, which was approved by the IEA Wind Executive Committee.

The task consists of three parts:

A kick-off meeting is scheduled for September, and will probably be held in Denmark. The task will be detailed then in a work plan. Participants in the work plan may indicate what activities they would like to perform.

Wind energy industry, especially large companies are encouraged to participate in the task to maximize the exchange of knowledge between companies and research institutes / universities.
