The Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development and Oregon LNG have signed a stay agreement by which the project’s consistency certification is delayed for an additional 90 days.

The parties said in their agreement that the stay period ends on October 9 with DLCD’s decision due on October 23. However, they may agree to further stay the review period through mutual agreements.

Oregon LNG prepared and submitted to DLCD a certification in July 2013 showing that its bidirectional LNG terminal and associated natural gas pipeline within Oregon’s approved coastal zone under the Coastal Zone Management Act complies with the policies of the Oregon Coastal Management Program.

The original consistency certification review period commenced on July 3, 2014 and would have ended on January 2014 but former stay agreements have pushed the decision deadline to July 26 this year.
