The Dutch-based shipping company, Vroon, has reported that VOS Famous Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) on Monday arrived in Aberdeen, from Jiangsu Islands Shipbuilding Industry in Nanjing, China.
The company took delivery of the vessel from the shipbuilder in June 2015.
VOS Famous is the fourth vessel of a series of six 50m emergency response and rescue vessels being built at Jiangsu Island Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd. in Nanjing, China.
Vroon notes that first three vessels, VOS Fabulous, VOS Fairness and VOS Faithful, are already operating out of Aberdeen for Vroon Offshore Services.
“The vessels’ revolutionary design has lived up to our expectations of excellent seakeeping characteristics and low fuel consumption,” the company has said.
The company has also announced that VOS Famous will be operational in the North Sea, working out of Aberdeen under management of Vroon Offshore Services and that it is now being prepared for a long-term charter with a major operator in the Southern North Sea.
