EMAS, the operating brand of Ezra Holdings, has shared an image of their flagship subsea construction vessel the Lewek Constellation performing its lifting duties in the Gulf of Mexico.
According to EMAS, the vessel performed a lift and landed a 160 tonne gas lift package on the Thunderhawk platform before heading back to the Big Bend field to continue laying pipe for Noble Energy. The Big Bend field is 18 miles from the Thunderhawk platform in 7,200 feet of water in Mississippi Canyon Block 698. Noble Energy operates a 54% working interest in Big Bend.
To remind, in June 2015, in preparation for the execution of three subsea tie-back projects for Noble Energy, the Lewek Constellation established an industry record for pipelay in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
The Lewek Constellation is an ice-classed, multi-lay offshore construction vessel with ultra-deep water pipe laying and heavy lift capabilities. The vessel measures 178.27 metres by 46.0 metres, and sports all single berth cabins, and is designed to deliver projects in water depths exceeding 3,000 metres. It was named in March 2015.
