Following media reports about the accident on board Technip-run multi-purpose construction vessel, the North Sea Atlantic, Technip has confirmed that one offshore worker has been injured.
Following treatment on board, the injured crewman was transferred to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick by helicopter for further treatment.
Global Marine secured a contract to provide personnel and equipment that will support the delivery of a submarine fibre optic link between North Sea platforms on behalf of client, Subsea 7, and end user BP.
Global Marine will be providing jointing personnel to work with Subsea 7 in delivering platform-to-platform connectivity from the existing Clair platform, 50 miles west of the Shetland Isles, in the North Sea, to the new Clair Ridge platform.
Helix Energy Solutions Group reported a net loss of $(2.6) million, or $(0.03) per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2015 compared to net income of $57.8 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, for the same period in 2014 and net income of $19.6 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2015.
Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2015 was $17.0 million, or $0.16 per diluted share.
Petrobras has extended the RSV contract for the vessel Geoholm with 18 months until December 2016, DOF ASA informed.
The extension is a direct continuation of the current contract and the vessel has been operating for Petrobras since January 2014.
Geoholm is owned by the subsidiary DOF Subsea AS.
Senior representatives of Maersk Supply Service, DeepOcean UK and the Damen Shipyards Group gathered at Damen Shipyards Galati, Romania, on Thursday (July 23), to witness the launching of subsea support vessel Maersk Connector.
The vessel is owned and operated by Maersk Supply Service and is built to contract for a seven year charter agreement with DeepOcean.
