Cheniere reports USD 118.5 million net loss

Houston-based LNG player Cheniere reported a net loss of $118.5 million for the three months ended June 30, compared to a net loss of $201.9 million for the comparable 2014 period. Houston-based LNG player Cheniere reported a net loss of $118.5 million for the three months ended June 30, compared to a net loss of $201.9 million for the comparable 2014 period.

For the six months ended June 30, Cheniere posted a net loss of $386.2 million, compared to a net loss of $299.7 million during the corresponding period a year ago.

Significant items for the three and six months ended June 30, 2015 were a gain of $21.9 million and a loss of $209.2 million, respectively, compared to losses of $189.8 million and $236.6 million for the comparable 2014 periods, Cheniere said in a statement on Thursday.
