SC Astrea, cargo ship, sailed from Esbjerg, Denmark on Monday carrying components for the installation at Westermeerwind.

The vessel was loaded with towers, blades and hubs for the 144 MW project being developed in the shallow waters of IJsselmeer.

The assembly of the 48 wind turbines for the Westermeerwind wind farm will start in early September.

The entire nearshore wind farm, comprising 3 MW turbines, is expected to be ready by mid-February 2016.
