Sustainable Marine Energy (SME), a UK-based engineering company, is looking for new additions to its team with various job openings.

Based in East Cowe on the Isle of Wight, the company is recruiting suitably experienced, high calibre individuals for the following positions:

As reported earlier, SME’s PLAT-O tidal energy platform generated first power off the south coast of England. It was deployed at Yarmouth testing site.

Furthermore, SME signed a long term testing contract with the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) for the deployment of an array consisting of 5 PLAT-O systems.

The 100 kW PLAT-O prototype will be grid-connected at EMEC towards the end of 2015, with 200 kW commercial demonstrator scheduled for deployment in 2016 that will be followed with the installation of three additional systems.
