On August 8, SEA CHALLENGER installed the first turbine on DONG Energy’s Gode Wind Offshore Wind Farm in the German part of the North Sea.
The installation went according to plan and SEA CHALLENGER will continue to install the rest of the 97 Siemens 6MW turbines. The vessel carries 4 turbines at a time and loading port is Esbjerg in Denmark.
Master Brian Bendixen said: “I am happy to be part of the team SEA CHALLENGER ( SIEMENS / DONG / A2SEA ). And I would like to send many thanks to all the crew members.
“After end installation, SEA CHALLENGER will return to Esbjerg Tuesday night for retrofit of equipment before starting next load out.”
