NGVAmerica said it has named Daniel Bowerson as the organization’s new Director of Technology & Development.
Bowerson will lead NGVAmerica programs that are related to industry technology, research priorities, best practices, and codes and standards development for natural gas vehicles and fueling infrastructure, the organization said in a statement.
Prior to assuming this role, Bowerson held key positions and gained experience around engineering and safety issues related to NGVs. Most recently, he held a position at FCA US (formerly Chrysler Group) as the Technical Specialist in alternative fuels. Prior to joining FCA, Bowerson worked at Roush Industries as the Senior Powertrain Design Engineer.
The Clean Vehicle Education Foundation has coordinated many of the key technology and development functions for the NGV industry over the years and was originally part of NGVAmerica. With the retirement of CVEF’s leadership, the NGVAmerica and CVEF boards sought to preserve CVEF’s important body of work through the creation of Bowerson’s position within NGVAmerica.
