PTT of Thailand has been given the green light to purchase 2 mtpa of LNG from Shell Eastern and BP Singapore through long-term deals.

Reuters reports the country’s energy minister Narongchai Akrasaneehe saying that the two companies will supply a million tons of LNG each to PTT starting from 2017.

Earlier in the year, PTT revealed it has engaged in talks with several LNG suppliers over long-term deals.
