This years Digby Port Days and Renewable Energy Symposium will feature some of the regional and international leaders in tidal energy industry under the event’s theme ‘Ride the Green Wave’.

Digby County strives to become the greenest county in Nova Scotia by providing awareness, advocacy and promoting renewable energy initiatives in the county.

With several tidal energy projects planned for the Bay of Fundy, Digby Port Days will feature discussions on the activities, opportunities and impact of tidal energy, with the presentations from NSCC, Fundy Tidal, Marine Renewables Canada, Acadia University, Aecon and Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy.

Digby Port Days will be opened by Energy Minister Michel Samson.

The speakers at the conference include Dana Morin of Fundy Tidal, Jeremy Poste of Open Hydro, Tony Wright of The Fundy Ocean Research for Energy (FORCE), and Elisa Obermann of Marine Renewables Canada, among others.

The event will take place from September 17-19, 2015 in the Town of Digby, Nova Scotia.
