BG Group, Singapore’s LNG aggregator recently published an image of a cargo unloading at the liquefied natural gas terminal on Jurong Island.
BG Group delivered the first LNG cargo to the terminal in May 2013, and according to the company the image was taken during the unloading of the milestone 50th cargo.
Singapore LNG’s receiving section consists of the berthing area for LNG carriers, the unloading arms and the transfer line.
It is capable of receiving LNG carriers with a capacity from 120,000 cbm to 265,000 cbm of LNG to berth at the primary jetty, and 60,000 cbm to 265,000 cbm to berth at the secondary jetty.
The LNG from the carrier is transferred to three 180,000 cbm storage tanks through a 40-inch transfer line connecting the unloading arms to the tanks.
