Dutch firm Royal IHC has launched a Pipelay Support Vessel (PLSV) to be deployed in Brazil.

The 146 meters long vessel, Sapura Rubi, is fifth and last in the series of vessels ordered by the SapuraKencana & Seadrill joint venture, Sapura Navegação Marítima.

The launching ceremony was held Friday in Krimpen aan den IJssel, near Rotterdam.

All five vessels will work in Brazilian waters to develop deep-sea oilfields on behalf of Petrobras.
