MPI Enterprise has completed works on E.ON’s Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm thus wrapping up its first charter under MPI ownership.

MPI Offshore acquired the wind turbine installation vessel from RWE Innogy earlier this year after which the vessel embarked on its first assignment as part of MPI in May 2015.

MPI Enterprise has acted as an installation vessel, in conjunction with the E.ON Contractor Per Aarslef. Following these preparatory tasks, WTG installation will be undertaken by another of MPI’s WTIVs, MPI Adventure.

The Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm is situated approximately 35 km north of Helgoland and 37 km west of Amrum in the German Exclusive Economic Zone of the North Sea. When fully operational later this year, Amrumbank West will have an annual capacity of 288 megawatts, enough to power 300,000 households.
