HZ Windpower, a Chinese-based technology manufacturer, has completed the preliminary research on marine current generation technology.

According to the company, the study on the key technology and model test of marine current power generation performed by HZ Windpower has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Chongqing Municipality, China.

The study saw the completion of the preliminary research of the working principles of marine current generator and its development road map, the hydrodynamic simulation and blade design, as well as the testing of a scaled model that comprises vertical axis drag force blade with top suspension support.
