GasLog’s newbuild LNG carrier, GasLog Salem, departed from Statoil’s Hammerfest plant in Norway on Friday.
The 155,000 cubic meters vessel is expected to arrive at the UK’s Grain terminal around September 4, shipping data shows.
Grain LNG terminal, operated by National Grid, can import 15 million tonnes of the chilled gas each year and has the ability to supply 20 percent of the UK’s forecast gas demand.
The LNG terminal recently began offering cool down and ship reloading services. There are plans to offer break bulk services through an open season and possible extra capacity through a fourth phase expansion.
