By signing a three-year framework service agreement, Bakker Sliedrecht will take care of all services and parts supply required for the maintenance, repairs and conversions of the electrical installations on board of the majority of Van Oord key-assets worldwide.

The two companies have an outstanding track-record in their cooperation in the past 25 years.

Jaap de Jong, Director Ship Management Van Oord said: “ With this strategic partnership in place we optimize our supply chain which will give way to operational improvement and cost reductions in our fleet management.”

This contract, signed on August 26th in Rotterdam, will strengthen this partnership by focusing on bringing down the total cost of ownership during the entire lifetime of the vessels.

The emphasis will be on technical improvements, teamwork, upstream supply chain improvement and process-optimization.
