Gazprom’s head Alexey Miller, and Rainer Seele, Chairman of the Executive Board of OMV met in Moscow on Friday.

They addressed the issues of the Nord Stream II project implementation, particularly, the preparations for the shareholders’ agreement on setting up a joint venture for constructing the new gas pipeline, according to a statement issued by the Russian gas giant.

On June 18, Gazprom, E.ON, Shell and OMV signed the memorandum of intent stipulating the joint construction of two strings of the Nord Stream II gas pipeline with the aggregate annual capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia to Germany across the Baltic Sea.
