Following the international call for tender issued by the Cameroon authorities, a consortium, formed by Bolloré Africa Logistics, CMA CGM and CHEC, has been awarded the contract for the operation of the deep water container terminal at Kribi.

Cameroon has chosen the consortium for the solidity of its strategic, financial and technical platform. The concession is for an initial 20-year term.

With a 15 m draught and direct access to the sea, the port at Kribi offers Cameroon the capacity to welcome large vessels carrying up to 8,000 containers.

The Bolloré Africa Logistics / CMA-CGM / CHEC consortium will manage the container terminal, offering a 350 m wharf built and equipped by the Chinese company CHEC. An additional 700 m wharf is due to be built in phase 2, within a maximum schedule of 5 years.

This major port facility will provide access to new logistics corridors reaching out across the region via direct connections between the port of Kribi and the rail and road networks that are vital assets for development.
