As part of 3rd Offshore Summit, an exhibition on the subject of offshore wind was held.

Well-known companies from the energy sector presented their work and current projects.

“The exhibition is the ideal platform for citizens to ask all their questions to the experts of participating companies. Interest is high and the dialogue increases noticeably acceptance for future projects,” said Harm Sievers, managing director of the Port of Sassnitz GmbH.

A total of nine companies and organizations were presented in the exhibition tent that was set up centrally on the premises of Sail Sassnitz. The exhibitors illustrated their projects based on models, movies and pictures. Also, the Port of Sassnitz explained the necessary adjustments and the expansion of the port infrastructure.

EnBW shared its experiences about the construction of Baltic 2, constructed from Sassnitz.

Furthermore, Iberdrola and E.ON provided information about Wikinger wind farm which will be built from Sassnitz, starting in 2016, and the Arkona Becken Südost which will start construction in 2017.

The exhibition was part of the three-day Sail Sassnitz, which took place in the port area from 14 to 16 August 2015.
