UK planning inspectors will host a meeting today about the plans to install 40-mile onshore cable.
About 200 landowners would be affected by 60-meter wide trench which would host a cables connecting Triton Knoll offshore wind farm to the grid at Bicker Fen, writes ITV.
“The preliminary meeting is procedural and it is for the examining authority to seek views on how the examination should progress,“ said Planning Inspectorate spokesperson . “This meeting will help us to provide a timetable for the examination.“
The examination will comprise of written representations about the proposal and any oral representations made at the hearings, in addition to consideration of the project documents, policy and legal positions, site inspections and any other matters Planning Inspectorate consider to be relevant and important.
“All relevant and important matters will be taken into account when we make a recommendation to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, who will take the final decision in this case,” wrote Planning Inspectorate in a notification of preliminary meeting.
The examination process will last six months.
