Tiburon Subsea Services has selected GreenSea Systems to supply its new controlling and operating system for their science class ROV “Otis”.
GreenSea Systems is a specialist in automation and navigation for unmanned underwater vehicles.
According to Tiburon, the new control, navigation and station-keeping upgrades being added to OTIS will make the vehicle one of the most versatile ROV’s of its size.
Tiburon’s 600-meter ROV is an electric light work-class vehicle equipped with USBL, optically corrected color HD video camera, quad LED lighting array, color laser video measuring system, multi-beam imaging sonar and five axis hydraulic manipulator, but it can also have additional tools installed, if required.
