Natural Power, SeaRoc bag EDF’s tidal project contract
Natural Power and its sister company SeaRoc have been awarded a contract by EDF to oversee the HSE and marine operations at the Paimpol–Bréhat tidal farm in North Brittany, France. Natural Power said that the two companies will provide EDF with a local, French speaking team of tidal energy and turbine installation experts.
Interim loss narrows at Atlantis Resources
Singapore-based Atlantis Resources has seen its interim loss trimmed by some 14% compared to the same period a year before. The developer behind MeyGen tidal energy project posted a loss of £3.5 mln (S$7.5 mln) for the period ended June 30, 2015, versus a £4 mln (S$8.7 mln) loss in the corresponding period in 2014. However, the company stated these interim results are in line with the annual 2014 results.
