Belgium’s Zeebrugge LNG terminal, operated by Fluxys, is scheduled to receive a cargo of Qatari liquefied natural gas.
According to the shipping data, the 155,000 cbm GasLog Saratoga set off from the Qatari port of Eas Laffan on September 16 and is scheduled to arrive at Zeebrugge on October 2.
The vessel was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries and delivered to GasLog at the end of last year.
The Zeebrugge LNG terminal that is currently able to receive 110 carriers per year is set for further expansion with the addition of a fifth LNG storage tank.
Amec Foster Wheeler has also recently revealed it won an engineering contract for the the boil-off gas recovery system and associated facilities as well as the inter-connection with the new LNG storage tank and the existing plant facilities.
Earlier in the year Fluxys LNG, the operator of the Zeebrugge terminal, launched a market test to evaluate the appetite for small-scale services such as loading small bunker and feeder vessels as well as LNG trailer loading services.
